Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. They relocated to Oxfordshire at the age of five where she attended the Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor when she was six. For several years, she attended the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing as well as dancing, and also acting. Through a school play as well as an Stagecoach production, Emma took as the lead role at age 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film adaptation of J.K. Reviewers have been highly lauding the film and the performance by three young actors. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British publication, has praised Emma for her exceptional performance. Then Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her role in the film winning the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in an feature Film.
