MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was released by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album climbed to number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca is one of the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007, saw him join Ozuna. Mala Influencia came out as his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. In the following calendar year Dopamina became his second album. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit single Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a musical environment, since both his mom and younger brother are musicians. In interviews, he described the importance of music as a requirement. In his early years, he learned how to play the saxophone, the ukulele, and piano. His initial choice of career was to be a veterinarian However, his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under a Cuban teacher.
